Please take a few minutes to take in the following video from Pulmonary/Critical Care Specialist Michael Hansen regarding the Pfizer/BioNTech Vaccine for COVID. Dr. Hansen has been an informed and consistent voice of reason and actual science throughout this world-wide ordeal and I have grown to genuinely respect his opinion. I recommend this video because of its clarity, brevity, and genuine intent to educate and heal.
YouTube inserts a little commercial in there just before the end, just skip it and finish the video. It's worth it.
Over the better part of the last year I have been very vocal regarding my numerous reservations around so many aspects of how this vaccine has been derived and brought to market. Now that it is finally here however I find the methods deriving the vaccine, its mechanism of action, and the integrity of the people and places that have contributed to getting here more than outweigh any of the reservations that in most cases I continue to have surrounding the political and financial process of developing this vaccine. I am ultimately recommending the vaccine and yes, I do plan to administer the vaccine to both myself and my wife and children as soon as the opportunity presents itself despite all of us having already acquired antibodies. Whether its feasible for my practice to administer the vaccine subsequent to the costs and other financial and equipment requirements that come with it remains to be seen and I will let you know as soon as I know.
Finally, I am Christian and celebrate Christmas! Please accept the Peace, the Joy, and the Rebirth of the Spirit and Soul that the Birth of Jesus Christ represents for my family and myself, and should you and yours observe something different at this time of year I wish you nothing but the very best of celebrations in your home and that we all remain genuinely Thankful to live in a Country where we can enjoy the religious freedoms that we do! I would also suggest that regardless of where you may stand within the political spectrum we take a moment to be equally thankful for the men and women who have given their lives through military service or dedicated their lives to community service not only to protect those freedoms over the past several centuries but the integrity of our Constitution that provides them.
